Session hours and which highs still count

Overnight prints versus cash-session structure — a practical filter when mapping levels on Australian instruments.

ASX and SPI traders often argue about overnight highs printed while local desks were quiet. In Level Review Sessions we do not ban those prints, but we demote them until cash-session trade has tested them.

A practical filter: mark overnight extremes in a lighter stroke, then promote them only after the day session has spent time nearby or rejected them cleanly. That habit alone reduces the number of “fake” supports students defend during the first hour.

Currency pairs add another twist — London and New York hours may define the shelves your evening map cares about. We ask you to state which session owns your decisions before we ink anything. Mapping without that sentence mixes calendars and invites conflicting lines on the same pane.
